Advani calls on Vajpayee

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: L.K. Advani, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, today called on the former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, after attending a function at Parliament House to pay tributes to B.R. Ambedkar.

The meeting that lasted 15 minutes is considered significant in the wake of the "bitterness" that has erupted in the relations between the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party after the RSS chief, K.S. Sudarshan, suggested in an interview that the two leaders should make way for new faces. Mr. Sudarshan also made comments on Mr. Vajpayee's foster family and Brajesh Mishra, former National Security Adviser.
