`Chandy will lose if he seeks mandate'

Staff Reporter

THRISSUR: The senior Congress leader, K. Karunakaran, has said that the Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, and his colleagues will not win even one seat if they resign and seek fresh mandate. Mr. Karunakaran told reporters here on Thursday that he did not know whether the party high command was taking any steps to prevent a split within the State unit.

The senior Congress leader said that May 1 would mark a change in State politics.

"Workers are honoured on May 1. It is a day of change and hope.

"A positive decision will be taken on May 1 in Thrissur, in consultation with my supporters,'' he said. .
