MYSORE: Bangalore lad Vinod Gowda hogged the limelight by winning the Boys under-12 singles and doubles titles in the Karnataka State Open Mini tennis championship 2005 here on Thursday. In the under-12 boys' singles final, Vinod beat Mysore's Chirag S Igoor 6-1, 6-4. In the doubles he teamed up with Sumuka V. Karanth and defeated the pair of Kashyap Ashok and Evans Mirajkar 9-4 in the final. The results: (finals): Boys U-12 singles: Vinod Gowda (Bangalore) bt Chirag S Igoor (Mys) 6-1, 6-4. U-12 Doubles: Vinod Gowda/ Sumukha V Karanth bt Kashyap Ashok/ Evans Mirajkar 9-4. Girls U-12 singles: Ajini Gunavardhane (SL) bt Likitha Shetty (B'lore) 1-6, 6-4, 6-4. Children's U-10 singles: Kashyap Ashok (B'lore) bt Evans Mirajkar (Hubli) 6-1, 7-6 (7-0).
