Survey finds TDP aflutter

HYDERABAD:
A survey by an independent organisation from Bangalore caused a flutter in the Telugu Desam Party circles on Wednesday with some leaders welcoming it while others expressing reservations.
Some more kept wondering who had actually commissioned it and its `secret agenda.'
The senior party leader, Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, who was among those welcomed it, said the survey would help the party gauge its strengths and weaknesses.
"If it points to certain shortcomings and suggests changes at the level of leaders, they need to be carried out."
Even if the survey was to find out the reasons for the party's poor showing in elections, it has to be welcomed.
Another senior leader, Umareddy Venkateswarlu, appeared not so enthusiastic. The party had nothing to do with the survey.
The organisation conducting the survey told him that it was for studying the party structure, functioning, roles and responsibilities of leaders at various levels, he said
