Mr. Shinde recalled how Maharashtra had launched the "One cow and one tree" programme in every rural household in 1975-76 which led to the formation of 20,000 primary milk cooperatives. While the toned milk is priced at Rs. 15 a litre, the standardised product comes at Rs. 19, he said. The Director, Relevant Technologies, distributor for `Mahanand', Yogesh Ralli, spoke.
