PATHANAMTHITTA: : Three pilgrims died following cardiac arrest at Sabarimala on Wednesday night. A 45-year-old doctor, S.Rajendran, c/o Chellayya, Siva Hospital, Chidambarapuram, Tirunelveli, suffered severe chest pain while climbing the Appachimedu at 6 p.m.. He was rushed to the Sannidhanam Government Hospital where he was declared dead, later. Another pilgrim, Lakkadu Brahmalinga Swami, 58, of Balighattom, Narasipattanam in Vishakhapatanam district, succumbed to heart ailment at the Sannidhanam Government Hospital. The third victim was a man in his sixtiesawho died at the Sannidhanam Hospital. According to hospital sources, the deceased was brought to the hospital in the wee hours of Thursday, but died soon after. An identity card found in his pocket bears the name Chinnaswami, Sreevilliputhur, Viruthanagar district, Tamil Nadu. The card has been issued by Lakshmi Mills, Kovilpetty. The body has been shifted to the mortuary at the Pathanamthitta General Hospital, later.
