Tension in Bhavaninagar

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Tension prevailed at Kummarwadi of Bhavaninagar when two groups prepared for a showdown over the alleged attack on a youngster late on Thursday night.

A groceries stores owner, Narsimha, was reportedly found speaking to a girl near a local graveyard. While the girl fled the spot, locals attacked Narsimha, accusing him of indulging in immoral activities.

Tension began to build when family members, friends and relatives of Narsimha approached the Bhavaninagar police saying he had gone missing. Police rushed additional forces and the South Zone DCP, Sandeep Shandilya, visited the spot. The situation was tense, but under control.
