Woman IAS officer being framed: TDP
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD:
The women's wing of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has charged the police with framing the IAS officer, Shalini Misra, in a false case just because she had brought to book all those involved in the child adoption case four years ago.
Addressing a press conference, the TDP leaders -- N. Rajakumari, M. Padmaja and B. Sailaja -- wondered if the police was taking special interest in the case because the Director-General of Police, Swaranjit Sen's wife Anita Sen was among those involved in adoption case.
Expressing surprise at the way an upright IAS officer was being targeted, they extended support to her and threatened to launch an agitation.
