The Vijayanagar traffic police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the driver.

The police said Srinivasa, alias Seena (8), was killed on the spot when he was hit by a motorcycle on Whitefield Road around 2 p.m. Srinivasa's father, Ramanjaneya, is a resident of Hoody. After the accident, the motorcyclist abandoned the vehicle and fled, the police said. The K.R. Puram traffic police have seized the motorcycle and registered a case.

Doddaiah (40), a resident of Kibbanahalli in Tiptur taluk in Tumkur district, died at a hospital here on Wednesday. The police said Doddaiah, who had reportedly participated in the "Grameena Janotshava" organised by the Janata Dal (Secular) at the Palace Grounds on Wednesday, complained of chest pain while returning to his village in a bus.

He was rushed to a hospital where he died. Before he got into the bus at the Palace Grounds, the bus hit him while the driver was backing up, the police said. The High Grounds police have registered a case.
