SAAP's gesture

HYDERABAD: Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh invites proposals from the sportspersons preparing for the Commonwealth Games, Beijing Olympics and the World Championships and desiring to avail financial assistance, according to Ms. Sumita Dawra, vice-chairperson and managing director of SAAP.

Ms. Dawra said in view of the increasing demand for financial help, the SAAP had decided to have a thorough scrutiny of the credentials of the sportspersons before taking a final decision.

The applicants must submit the proposals by May 12 to the respective State Sports Associations and a copy of the same to the SAAP for necessary action.
