NEW DELHI: Asian junior squash champion, Joshna Chinappa, on Friday said she was fully prepared to clinch the World junior title. ``I am confident that I can win the Worlds to be held in Belgium in July. Being the current No.1 in junior section, I will start as favourite,'' Joshna said after receiving the cash award from Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Sunil Dutt, here. Mr. Dutt congratulated Joshna and wished her good luck. ``Work hard and win more laurels for the country,'' Mr. Dutt told Joshna. The Sports Ministry had earlier sanctioned Rs 3.07 lakhs for a month-long training in Boston. The 17-year-old from Chennai said the award would boost her confidence. ``I will try my best at Doha Asian Games and Commonwealth Games in Australia,'' Joshna said adding that her ultimate aim was to win the World senior title. Joshna clinched the Asian junior championship (team event) in Kuala Lumpur in 2002, besides the British junior championship and the Asian junior championship this year. UNI
