PONDICHERRY: N. Mohanapriya of Solai Nagar in Pondicherry who has been selected for short service commission in Indian Air Force, is the first woman from the Union Territory to achieve the distinction. She did her school education in St. Joseph of Cluny Girls HSS here and completed her MBBS from the Sri Vinayaka Mission Medical College at Karaikal. A release from N. Mohan, general secretary, Ex-Servicemen and Widows Welfare Association of the Union Territory of Pondicherry, said on Thursday that before leaving for Bangalore for the training Dr. Mohanapriya called on the Lt. Governor, M.M. Lakhera, at the Rajnivas here.
