THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two more MLAs belonging to the Karunakaran faction, T.V. Chandramohan and M.A. Chandrasekharan, on Friday offered to resign their membership from the Assembly. The two MLAs are reported to have submitted their resignations to the senior Congress leader, K. Karunakaran. Mr. Chandramohan, who represents Kunnamkulam in the Assembly, has been a steadfast supporter of Mr. Karunakaran. Mr. Chandrasekharan owes a lot to the veteran leader who secured him the Vadakkekara seat in the last Assembly elections long after the official candidate's name had been announced. So far, six MLAs have expressed their willingness to resign as and when Mr. Karunakaran wanted. The move is apparently intended to counter the official group's campaign that the Karunakaran's MLAs would not join the split.
