Land drive next round in August

HYDERABAD: Having resolved to continue distribution of surplus lands to the poor as a long-term policy, the State Government is going ahead with the second phase of the distribution in August first week.

Revealing this to The Hindu here on Friday, the Revenue Minister, Dharmana Prasada Rao, said the target fixed for the second phase was also one lakh acres. The pattas would be issued in the name of female head of the family.
