Youth knocked down by train

CHENNAI:
A 19-year-old youth was fatally knocked down by a train at Athippattu railway station on Wednesday.
Police said V. Vasu, a labourer at the Ennore Thermal Power Station, was crossing the track around 6.30 p.m, when the Coromandel Express, which was passing through the station at the time, knocked him down. The hearing-impaired youth died on the spot.
A post-mortem was conducted at the Stanley Medical College and the body was handed over to his relatives, police said.
