Traffic curbs

In view of the Brahmaratotsava festival at Sri Gali Anjaneyaswamy Temple, the Byatarayanapura traffic police have banned movement of all vehicles from Kimco junction to Sirsi circle and from Hosa Guddadahalli junction to Kimco junction on Mysore road.

The traffic regulation will be in force from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 18 and from 6 a.m. on April 19 to 10 a.m. on April 20.

Commemorative stamp

The Department of Posts is bringing out a postage stamp on April 18 to commemorate the "Bandung Conference-1955." The stamp is in the denomination of Rs. 15. The stamp, first day cover and information sheets will be available from Monday at the Philatelic Bureaux at Bangalore General Post Office, and all other head post offices.

Free course

Canara Bank Platinum Jubilee Rural Development Trust has invited applications for the three month full-time free training programme in "Software applications" from May 9. Unemployed youths of Bangalore in the 18 to 25 age group who have passed SSLC and whose family income does not exceed Rs. 24,000 per annum are eligible to apply. Interested persons can directly attend the written test on the institute premises on April 26 at Railway Parallel Road in Kumara Park West. For details, call 23440036.

Health camp

Mela

Vijaya Bank, Bangalore, will hold a special "cut and soiled notes exchange mela" at their CMS branch, K.G. Road, Bangalore, on April 17, April 24 and May 8. The public can exchange cut and soiled notes between 10 a.m., and 2 p.m.

Shift of office

State Bank of Mysore's treasury branch, Bangalore, will be shifted to the new premises at No. 2, Lady Curzon Road, opposite Bowring Hospital, Shivajinagar, on Monday.
