Tiffin centre owner murdered

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Delay in serving a `dosa' led to the murder of a 35-year-old man under the Chatrinaka police limits on Saturday. The victim was identified as B. Srisailam, who ran a tiffin centre at Rajanna Bowli.

It was reported that one Vijay Shanker who ordered `dosa' was angered by the delay and picked up an argument with Srisailam. As tempers ran high, Vijay Shanker allegedly picked up a hot sieved handler and hit Srisailam on the head and neck. He fled the scene immediately.

Shanker's associate, who is yet to be identified, rushed a profusely bleeding Srisailam to Osmania Hospital. After getting him admitted there, he too was believed to have fled. Srisailam died later.

In the third case, the decomposed body of a woman, aged around 25, was found in an open area near the HMT sub-station at Jeedimetla on Saturday. The victim's head was smashed. The police believe that the woman might have been done to death about two days ago.

Investigators do not rule out rape and murder. The Jeedmietla police are investigating.
