HUBLI: Heavy downpour for about half an hour in the city on Sunday afternoon brought down a minaret at the Idgah Maidan here. The office bearers of the Anjuman-e-Islam, who maintain the maidan, were asked to take up repairs as soon as possible. The debris was cleared immediately. Anjuman-e-Islam will take up reconstruction, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), said.
