HYDERABAD: The Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf, will receive two Hyderabadi `Sherwanis' and his wife, Sehba, a set of three world famous Lad Bazaar gold bangles as gifts from the city. Hameed Mohiuddin of the famous drapers and tailors `Maqdoom Brothers,' a 110-year-old store, told UNI that he had sent two `Sherwanis,' one in black and the other in cream to be presented to the Pakistan President as a gesture of goodwill from the people of the city that had ancient links with the neighbouring country. Each Sherwani costs Rs. 75,000. He said he also chosen to present the famous Hyderabadi Lad Bazaar's gleaming `zardosi' and crystal bangles to the first lady of Pakistan. The president of the All-India Religious Leaders Association, Moulana Peerzada Shabbir Nakshbandi, had got the measurements of Gen. Musharraf. Mr. Mohiuddin said the Moulana had approached him with the order offering to pay for the Sherwanis. He had declined to receive the payment and instead decided to gift the Sherwanis to the President and bangles to his wife. Mr. Mohiuddin said he was delighted to get the opportunity of conveying the best wishes of the Hyderabadis for lasting peace between the two nations.
