JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Governor, S.K. Sinha, and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed greeted the people on the occasion of Ramnavami, the birthday of Lord Rama. In his message on Sunday, the Governor said the ideals set by Lord Rama, who epitomized righteousness and the spirit of sacrifice, were relevant for all times. The Chief Minister said the auspicious day will be celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir in the true spirit of its composite culture. He urged the people to take a pledge to strengthen the bonds of love and brotherhood. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, Harayana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Punjab Governor S.F. Rodrigues and Chief Minister Amarinder Singh have also greeted the people on the occasion. --PTI
