MYSORE: The Udayagiri police have arrested two persons on the charge of chain snatching. They have recovered 30 gm of gold from the accused. The police said Khader Khan and Mohammed Shafi tried to snatch the gold chain of Yashodamma, a resident of Udayagiri, on Friday while she was returning home after purchasing groceries. The police said that while alert passers-by nabbed Khader Khan when Yashodamma raised an alarm, while Mohammed Shafi was arrested from his house. Sources said the two, who were working in a butcher shop at Shivajinagar in Bangalore, had hatched a plan to snatch the chain as they were in debts.
