TIRUPATI: The talks between SVU College authorities and the agitating students over the hall tickets issue is deadlocked with no apparent meeting point between the two in the negotiations held on Sunday. The students are against the university and the college authorities withholding their hall tickets for the reason that they have not cleared their college and hostel dues. The authorities though uncompromising on the issue have however offered a via media solution to end the impasse which however did not impressed the students much. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, S. Jayarama Reddy, has convened an urgent meeting with the Rector, Registrar, Principal and the hostel officials to end the deadlock. He come out with a package which was however not acceptable to the students. According to the package, the university would commence the exams as scheduled from Monday and would allow only those who have cleared the arrears. In respect of those who are not able to clear the dues before tomorrow, he offered that the exams would be held once again a month or two later
