TIRUPATI: The Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) is considering the option of increasing the number of post-graduate seats of certain courses in the self-financing category. Courses enjoying good demand from the student community only are likely to be considered for the proposal, which would be implemented from the academic year 2005-07. The increase in paid and sponsored seats is considered for the university college as well as the two postgraduate centres in Cuddapah and Kavali. The director of admissions, V.Kodandarama Reddy, joint director, K.V.S.Sarma, Dean-University Development, K.Sivasankara Reddy, and the special officers of the two PG centres also took part in the meet.
