ANANTAPUR: The district unit of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has observed that the Praja Patham programme launched by the Congress Government has failed to serve any purpose of the people except helping the Congress leaders aspiring for nominated posts to be in the news. Talking to newspersons here on Sunday the party leaders, K. Srinivasulu, U. Hanumantharaya Chowdary, B.K. Parthasarathi, P. Raghunatha Reddy and K.C. Narayana said the participation of people in the programme was nominal or too negligible. But, the leaders of Congress, who were aspiring the nominated posts, and their followers were participating with the hope that the Chief Minister might give some weightage to the participation. They criticised the concept of the programme which would not even allow the people to give representations on Food Assurance Programme. They demanded the Government at least to accept the representations.
