LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Government will send a proposal to the Centre for the development of about 10 relatively unknown tourist spots in the State. These tourist spots include Ferozabad, Dewa Sharif Dargah (Barabanki), Piprawa (Siddharthnagar), Chitrakoot, Etawah, Chambal, Katarniaghat (Bahraich) and Dudhwa National Park, official sources said on Sunday. Besides the famous religious places of Varanasi, Allahabad, Ayodhya and Agra, there was a need to develop other places of tourist attraction, the sources said. If the Centre gives its approval, these places would be given a facelift and facilities for tourists including lodges and hotels would be set up, for which private sector participation would also be sought, they added. Special attention would also be paid on advertising and marketing of these tourist destinations, they said. PTI
