Electoral rolls verified in Mylapore

CHENNAI:
The Chennai Corporation officials, National Service Scheme volunteers and residents welfare association took up door-to-door verification of the electoral manuscript in the Mylapore region on Sunday.
The civic agency took up the electoral roll revision work on March 1 and the deadline was recently extended till April 25.
Officials said the election manuscript had already been fully prepared for Corporation divisions 142 to 147 in the Mylapore area.
Hence, the door-to-door verification was organised there today. The Corporation plans to conduct further such drives when the manuscripts are ready for other areas.
More than 400 NSS students from various colleges participated in the drive on Sunday.
