ADILABAD: The Hospital Advisory Committee (HAC), Adilabad, on Sunday proposed to construct a shopping complex at the hospital residential area along NH 7. The proposal was put forth at a meeting of the HAC with a view to augmenting funds to run hospital services in a better manner. The meeting was chaired by the Adilabad district Collector, J. Sudha Rani. The Adilabad MLA, C. Ramchander Reddy, the District Coordinator of Hospital Services (DCHS), Y.V. Bhanu Murthy, the Government Hospital Superintendent, Suresh Chandra, and others were present. The meeting also discussed about the fund crunch being faced by the hospital. It was suggested that a shopping complex would help generate funds regularly. The HAC also resolved to reduce the deposit for an oxygen cylinder from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 1,000. Patients in serious health condition, who are referred to hospitals elsewhere, deposit the money before availing of the facility. There will be no charge if the patient is transferred in Government ambulance.
