NALGONDA: Sirisha, who committed suicide near the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta on Saturday was a spurned lover, according to the police. In a letter written to her father, R. Mastan Rao, and brother, Harikishan, before resorting to the extreme step, Sirisha, a final year student of B.Sc in a college at Ameerpet in Hyderabad, requested them to attend the wedding of Chandu, a temple priest in the city. She reportedly called him up and revealed her decision to end her life. The Yadagirigutta police found the number of Chandrasekara Sharma alias Chandu in her diary and asked him to come to the temple town. Sharma, who came here last night, wailed over her body. "Going by his version, the girl told him four months ago that she was loving him. But, he did not reciprocate as he was all set to marry his sister's daughter,'' said the Sub-Inspector, T. Venugopala Swamy, on Sunday.
