Correspondent

MAHBUBNAGAR: Suspected CPI (Maoist) extremists torched a poclain at Bandonipalli village of Veldanda mandal on Saturday night.

According to information, two armed naxalites went to the village and set ablaze the poclain by pouring diesel on it. It is said that the naxalites torched the vehicle in protest against the works carried out by machinery instead of labourers. The works were taken up under the `Indira Prabha' programme. It belongs to a contractor, Ashok Reddy.
