HYDERABAD:

This was announced here on Monday by the Major Irrigation Minister, P.Lakshmaiah, in a press release.
The Minister said the meeting would be inappropriate in view of the sitting of the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal on April 19 on Krishna waters when legal experts of the two States have been invited.
The meeting was also cancelled keeping in view the sensitive Krishna waters issue and the State interests and legal aspects.
Mr. Lakshmaiah said the Karnataka Chief Minister's office had been informed about cancellation of the meeting.
Notwithstanding the cancellation of the meeting, Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy left on a three-day visit for Bangalore on Monday afternoon.
An official spokesman said the Chief Minister would fulfil family commitments on Tuesday and Wednesday.
