HYDERABAD: : The Telugu Desam Party president, N. Chandrababu Naidu is believed to have ruled out the possibility of his wife, N. Bhuvaneswari, joining politics. He made this point clear to the former TDP MLA, N. Prasanna Kumar Reddy when he met Mr. Naidu to explain his stand. Mr. Reddy caused a stir in the party three days ago by his suggestion that Mr. Naidu might play a lead role in national politics in the revival of Third Front, leaving the State leadership to Bhuvaneswari. Sources said Mr. Naidu told Mr. Reddy that he should not have released the letter in which he made this suggestion, to the media. His wife was not at all interested in joining politics leave alone leading the party. Mr. Reddy told The Hindu that it was merely a suggestion in tune with the mood among the younger sections in the party. His intention was not to cause any confusion in the party ranks. He strongly denied that he was leaving TDP and joining the Congress and hence released the letter to the press. "As long as I am in politics I will be with the TDP," he added.
