Maoists blast old police station building

GUNTUR: The Communist Party of India (Maoist) naxalites blasted an old police station building of Bollapalli at Bandlamotu in Guntur district on Tuesday.

The naxalites blasted the building in the early hours with explosives. There was none in the abandoned building and there was no property damage. The police station was shifted to new premises in Bollapalli on March 19.

This was the second attack on this building by Maoists. The police repulsed the attack by naxalites on the building 18 months ago.
