Naxals kill sarpanch

ANANTAPUR: G. Adinarayana (35), Telugu Desam sarpanch of P. Kondapuram village in Ramagiri mandal, was shot dead allegedly by Maoists of Ramagiri Rythanga Guerrilla dalam on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday.

According to the police, the TDP activist was facing threat from Maoists. His mobile phone was snatched away by naxalites four months ago suspecting him to be a police informer. He was warned of serious consequences, if he failed to mend his ways.
