Not important?

This refers to the killing of a BSF soldier by BDR personnel. While the Government has not demonstrated reasonable outrage, even the media have not paid much attention to it.

The news should have been published on the front page of newspapers. The sacrifice made by the armed forces personnel should also hit the headlines, not only their alleged misdeeds.

The Government's response of "lodging a strong protest" will yield nothing. Such incidents adversely affect the morale of our men in uniform and the self-esteem of every citizen of our country. Response to such incidents should not be diplomatic; it should be on the ground.
