MPL's good performance
CHENNAI:
Riding on the back of a strong demand-supply mismatch, Manali Petrochemical Ltd. (MPL) has turned in a `good performance' to post a big jump in net profit at Rs. 23.40 crores during 2004-05, up from Rs. 2.05 crores in the preceding year.
Income from operations had gone up to Rs. 307.23 crores (Rs. 262.43 crores). Total sales stood at Rs. 308.78 crores (Rs. 264.02 crores).
Addressing a press conference here today, G. Ramachandran, Managing Director, said assorted measures taken in the past few years had considerably reduced operational cost.
