BHEL sets achieve record PLF

NEW DELHI: Thermal power generating sets made by the public sector Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) have achieved an all time high plant load factor (PLF) of 75.7 per cent in the beginning of this fiscal giving a boost to power generation. This is higher than the national average by 1.4 per cent. Operating availability (OA) of these sets has also been recorded the highest ever at 84.3 per cent, says a BHEL release. The BHEL thermal sets generated a record 331.2 billion units of power during 2004-05.
