SRF files appeal against excise demand

NEW DELHI: Industrial chemicals and synthetics maker SRF on Thursday said it would appeal against the demand of Rs. 39.16 crores raised by the Commissioner of Central Excise, Chennai, on the poly and batch poly chips manufactured and consumed in the manufacture of yarn. SRF has filed an appeal against the said demand, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
