Kalam condoles loss of lives

NEW DELHI: The President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, has condoled the loss of lives in the rail accident on Thursday in Gujarat.

In a letter to the Railways Minister, Lalu Prasad, the President asked him to convey his condolences to the next of kin of those who lost their dear ones and also his prayers for speedy recovery of the injured.

He expressed the hope that the Railway Ministry in coordination with the local authorities was making all efforts to provide rescue and relief to the injured.
