DEHRA DUN: The Uttaranchal Cabinet today decided to develop Patwa Dangar in Naini Tal and Balawala in Dehra Dun as the biotechnology hubs of the State. Briefing newsmen after the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary, M Ramachandran said that the G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology and the HNB Garhwal University would act as nodal agencies for these hubs. The Cabinet also decided to frame an animal breeding policy to upgrade the quality of the livestock and set up a separate department for fisheries. 100 acres of degraded forestland in Hardwar district will be given to the Central Reserve Police Force for establishing a training center. This center will train personnel of the Uttaranchal Police also till the State's own Police Training Center comes up, Mr Ramachandran said.
