VIJAYAWADA: The Praja Patham programme was conducted in Keertirayanigudem, T.Gannavaram and Chandrala villages in Mylavaram Assembly Constituency of Krishna district on Thursday. The Mylvaram MLA, Chanumolu Venkata Rao, participated in the programme and reviewed the supply of drinking water, power supply and housing in the villages and accepted representations from the public. When villagers demanded that power be supplied for nine hours instead of the seven hours, the MLA said that the State Government made a policy decision and power could be supplied only for seven hours. He, however, urged panchayats to explore the possibility of using single-phase motors for pumping drinking water.
