HASSAN: The Minister for Public Works and Energy, H.D. Revanna, said here on Thursday that the Government is making efforts to set up a Central university in Hassan.H.D. Deve Gowda, former Prime Minister and Hassan MP, has appealed to the Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Arjun Singh, in this regard and Mr. Singh has promised to establish a Central university in Hassan. Only Hyderabad and Pondicherry have Central universities in South India.
