dated April 22, 1955: Jinnah's house

Mr. J.K. Bhonsle, Deputy Minister for Rehabilitation, told Mr. N.S. Chauhan in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on April 21 that the auction under Evacuee Property Rules of a building in Bombay belonging to M.A. Jinnah had been stayed for the present. He said that the building was at present in the occupation of the British High Commission. A final estimate of the value had yet to be made. Future plans regarding it would be considered later.
