MANGALORE: The Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has appealed to the Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh, to abolish 1.5 per cent market fee levied by the Karnataka <149>Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) on agricultural produce dealers. A delegation of the KCCI, which met Mr. Singh during his visit to Mangalore recently, told him that the Kerala Government is not collecting any such market fee. Hence, 1,000 arecanut traders are considering to <149>shift their operations to Kerala, it said.
