Power shutdown

There will be no power supply from 8.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday in the following localities coming under the 33/11 KV Nakkavanipalem sub-station: TPT Colony, Seethammapeta Main Road, Rajendranagar, Ganeshnagar, Hindu-Muslim Colony, Srihari Veedhi and Harijan Colony.

The shutdown is due to undertaking repairs to the 11 KV Town III feeder, according to the Divisional Electrical Engineer (operation) Zone I.

Unauthorised

structures demolished

The Municipal Corporation authorities on Thursday demolished the unauthorised structures built in the stilt floor (cellar) of Saipriya Enclave in Gopalapatnam in Ward 44, on a complaint from the residents association of the apartment complex.

Community hall opened

A community hall constructed with shramdan by local residents at A.S.R. Nagar in Ward 34 was inaugurated by the CPI(M) city unit secretary, K. Lokanatham, on Thursday, the sixth day of the party's padayatra programme.
