Plea against Bharti Yadav filed
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI:
: Neelam Katara, mother of Nitish Katara, who was allegedly murdered by Vikas Yadav, son of the former Rajya Sabha Member, D.P. Yadav, in February 2002, has moved the trial court seeking cancellation of the passport of Bharti Yadav, daughter of Mr. Yadav and a key witness in the case, to force her to come to the country and depose in the case.
Ms. Katara filed the application in the court of the Additional Sessions Judge, D.S. Panwaria, conducting trial of the case, saying that the recording of evidence by Ms. Bharti was important to unravel the motive of the murder.
The prosecution had earlier this month dropped Ms. Bharti as a prosecution witness.
