Surana Telecom bags MTNL order
HYDERABAD:
Surana Telecom has bagged an order worth Rs. 26 crores from MTNL, for supply of 75,000 handheld CDMA phones. Narender Surana, Managing Director, said in a release here on Friday that this was Surana's first order for handheld phones. It had however received a previous order for one lakh fixed wireless CDMA cellular phones which have been supplied. That was also from MTNL and valued at Rs. 8.50 crores. For the latest order, Mr. Surana said the company would be procuring components from Huawei Technologies, China, which is a $5 billion group. The company is in the process of having its products evaluated with other private telecom operators also, he said.
