Man arrested on charge of killing wife

BANGALORE:
A 23-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband and in-laws for more dowry at Channapatna town in Bangalore Rural district on Thursday night.
The police gave the name of the woman as Hajima, a native of Bannur in Mysore district. She married Aslam Pasha three years ago. Pasha was allegedly harassing her for more dowry. Three days ago he reportedly sent Hajima to her parents' house asking her to bring Rs. 10,000. When Hajima returned with Rs. 5,000, Pasha, his parents and his siblings allegedly assaulted Hajima and hanged her, the police said.On a complaint by Hajima's brother, the Channapatna East police have registered a case and arrested Pasha.
