VIJAYAWADA: The All-India Peace and Solidarity Organisation (AIPSO), on Friday, celebrated the 135th birth anniversary of the revolutionary leader, V.I. Lenin, at Lenin Centre here. The AIPSO State unit general secretary, K. Subba Raju, the district unit president, T. Srikrishna, and others paid tributes and placed wreaths at Lenin's statue. The Communist Party of India State leader, E. Nageswara Rao, recalled the contributions of the leader in the formation of the Soviet Union.Inspired by the success of the Soviet Union, people of many countries had chosen to form socialist Governments, he said. Lenin had successfully implemented the theory of Marxism by updating it to the changed needs of society. The Vijayawada West MLA, Sheik Nazarvali, the AIPSO State vice-president, V.V. Krishna Rao, and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader, R. Raghu, were present.
