BHOPAL: Twenty-three persons 11 men, 11 women and a child were killed when the truck in which they were travelling fell into a gorge near Khurd village in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday morning. . At least 34 persons were injured and rushed to the Morena district hospital for treatment. The district administration has announced Rs. 10,000 ex-gratia to the families of each of those killed and Rs. 5,000 for every injured person. The victims, all from Uttar Pradesh, were followers of Baba Jaigurudev and travelling to join the "Jai Gurudev Adhyatmik Bemisaal Kaafilaa 2005" (Jai Gurudev's unique spiritual caravan).
