Barcelona: Juan Carlos Ferrero went through to the final of the Open Seat Godo here on Friday, beating Nikolay Davydenko 7-6(1), 6-1. He will play either Rafael Nadal or Radek Stepanek in the final. Davydenko had beaten Belorussian Max Mirnyi 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinal on Friday.
Paes & Zimonjic in semifinals
The second-seeded Leander Paes and Nenad Zimonjic made the semifinal of the doubles draw at the Open Seat Godo, beating the sixth-seeded pair of Frantisek Cermak and Leos Friedl 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. The results: Semifinals: Juan Carlos Ferrero bt Nikolay Davydenko 7-6(1), 6-1. Quarterfinals: Nikolay Davydenko bt Max Mirnyi 6-4, 6-4. Doubles: Quarterfinals: Leander Paes and Nenad Zimonjic bt Frantisek Cermak and Leos Friedl 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
